As of Friday, the Christmas season is officially in full swing. Malls will be packed with people. Decorations will be up everywhere. Christmas lights will be glimmering. And between now and December 25, the calendar will be joyfully packed with activities and events.
It’s a time that is, for many of us, filled with joy, good times, and fun memories. For others, though, especially for many of the men, women and children in our recovery programs, Christmastime can also bring about painful memories.
And that’s where can change this season’s narrative. We want to turn Black Friday into “Yellow and Black Friday,” and keep that momentum rolling through to Giving Tuesday.
Give meaningful gifts this year with our Hope for the Holiday’s Gift Guide. This unique giving guide allows for you to donate gifts such as meals, hot showers, coats, toiletries, blankets and other vital items to those we serve. And, as a gift, you can donate in the name of a loved one. View the Catalog online.
So, whether you spend your Black Friday in retail stores, waiting in lines and maneuvering through crowds of people to grab the latest “doorbuster” sale, or if you just stay home and shop online, consider adding one more person to your shopping list. Take a look at our Hope for the Holidays Gift Guide and add a little Yellow to your Black Friday.
Thank you for joining us this Christmas season in extending joy and hope to men, women and children in need this winter. Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
